Company that Helps Manufacturers Save Money by Delivering Real-Time Insights into Inventory and Production Processes Wins $185k Investment
SEATTLE – November 20, 2019 – Xemelgo, a Seattle-based startup delivering Industry 4.0 Smart Manufacturing solutions, today announced that it has won the Seattle Angel Conference XVI Competition securing a $185k investment. More than 50
startups based in the Pacific Northwest participated in the two-month competition, which evaluated the companies’ strategy, differentiation, customer traction, technologies, financials and go-to-market.
“Over the last year, our team has worked tremendously hard to deliver quality software to our customers and partners that is mobile-first, easy to use and gives real-time insights into manufacturing processes,” said Akhila Tadinada, co-founder and CTO, Xemelgo. “Winning the Seattle Angel competition is great validation for our team and we couldn’t be more proud. We plan to use the $185k investment to scale our go-to-market efforts and bring Xemelgo software to manufacturers across the country.”
Xemelgo was awarded the top prize at the Seattle Angel Conference held last week.
The Seattle Angel Conference is a recurring Seattle Angel-driven event where the investors create an LLC, engage in due diligence of the applying startup companies, and ultimately pool funds to invest in one of the presenting finalists.
“Seattle Angel Conference builds stronger startups in the ecosystem and it grows more new Angel Investors. It is a ‘learning by doing’ experience. It is the first step for both new startups and new Angel Investors who are starting their Angel Investing journey,” said John Sechrest, founder, Seattle Angel Conference. “Xemelgo’s team, passion and technologies impressed us all and we’re excited to be part of the company’s journey going forward.”
“Our teams conduct a thorough due diligence process evaluating many aspects of an entrepreneur’s business. Our most recent XVI finalists represent an exciting future in the Pacific Northwest’s startup scene,” said Minda Brusse, Seattle Angel Conference (SAC) XVI Fund Lead. “Xemelgo demonstrated a strong combination of business and technical expertise and we look forward to collaborating with them on the next phase of their growth.”
